Ellen DeGeneres always reminds her audience to "be kind to one another" at the end of her show, and the talk show host leads by example with her own countless acts of kindness. But on Wednesday, Ashton Kutcher decided that it was time for DeGeneres to be on the receiving end of a good deed.

Producers told DeGeneres that a friend of hers was there to talk to her, and soon after Kutcher walked out. Kutcher then invited his investment fund partner, Guy Oseary, to come out onstage to help him deliver the good news.

The actor noted that DeGeneres once told him that if she weren't hosting her own talk show, she would be working on The Ellen DeGeneres Wildlife Fund, an organization that helps save endangered species, particularly wild gorillas in Rwanda. It is part of The Ellen DeGeneres Campus of the Dian Fossey Gorilla Fund, which her wife Portia de Rossi gifted her on her 60th birthday.

"You never ask anyone for anything ever," Kutcher said. "And you said, at some point, I'm going to need some help with this."

"At the same time, you called him," he continued, pointing to Oseary, who added, "We are brothers and we are here to help you."

Kutcher then presented Degeneres with the most epic gift she has ever received on the show.

"Whether it's in New Orleans, whether it's in Montesito, whether it's the people that come here or the people out there, you're always thinking about everyone else, and we wanted to show you that people are thinking about you," he said. "So, on behalf of Ripple, we'd like to give you $4 million."

The audience immediately cheered with excitement, but DeGeneres was overcome with emotion. "Oh my god, I love you," she said as she hugged Kutcher and Oseary. "That was the most amazing thing. Thank you. I love you both so much."

Our hearts just melted.
