Swimming pools are a great way to stay cool during the warmer months, but owners know our favorite way to entertainment in the summer can also be a death trap to small animals. If the little critters that live in the areas surrounding your house mistakenly jump in the water, they can get trapped, unable to get out of the water. Thankfully, this super-popular Amazon product is making your pool a little safer for small animals.

Enter, the FrogLog. The genius invention is made up of an inflatable platform with a mesh skirt and ramp attached. You attach it to the edge of your pool using a weighted pouch that keeps the platform in place. Now, any little critters that make their way into your pool, have an easy way to escape just by swimming over to the life-raft and using the ramp to climb out.

Wildlife biologist Rich Mason had the idea for this product after a friend let him know that he was noticing a large number of frogs dying in his newly-installed pool. He believes that all animals deserve a chance to survive, no matter how small and with this float, Mason is making that even more possible.

Frogs aren't the only ones that will benefit from this super easy-to-set-up device. Birds, chipmunks, squirrels, lizards and more will all be safer around the pool thanks to the FrogLog. It's a win-win, right?
